Hi, my name is Sheila T... WELCOME! ...
A simple country girl who loves the freedom of working in my jeans & sipping my sweet tea...I have a very laid back approach to photography and find that capturing and creating new and unique images is what I truly thrive on.
I have become very aware through personal experience as a Caregiver what Alzheimer's Disease can do to a person's precious memories. Diseases of the brain rob a person of their life experiences and take away their ability to recall favorite people, places and times in their life. Photographs help to stimulate and encourage the brain to remember its life stories through the images it tries to recall. As Alzheimers becomes more prevalent, research is ongoing but those living with the fatal disease have to find a way to function day to day. A portion of my sales help to create community programs that enrich and provide quality of life for those living with the fatal disease as well as their families who also live with this tragedy.
Everyone has a story. Self taught and photographing since my early teens, I learned to appreciate the details of life through my lens. I've never been artistically challenged by staged studio prints or posed images. I tend to lean toward the spontaneous unpredictability of the moment that becomes our journey. Children and pets in their own environments where giggles are common and expressions are priceless truly bring out the personality that I strive to capture in my work.Your Life Story is your unique Legacy. Like your fingerprint, it is not the same as anyone else's on the planet! Like a journalist or writer captures a story and brings it to life on paper, a photographer can tell the story of the moment in a single image. No matter how your story is playing out, I would love to capture the moments that will become your legacy. From daredevil sports to being at home in front of the fireplace with your family, I enjoy bringing your memories to life.
SUCCESS for me is measured by the moments when we can enrich and bring joy to another's life. It's what you do between "the dash" in your life that counts.
Thank you for visiting my page. Everyday, I hope you take the time to enjoy YOUR LIFE STORY!
